Tank leaking on bottom

I just started no one touched the tank, I just heard a buzz, the tank leaked all over the power outlet. What do I do? Will silcone work?

not if it is leaking from the bottom. it will probably only get worse if you leave water in it. turn off the breaker that leads to the power outlet before you unplug anything. you will more than likely have to drain the tank - maybe use a bunch of buckets and icechests. if it is a glass tank, it can be re-sealed, but only from the inside and empty.
