What is the name of the purple fragging compound people use and where can I purchase a tube? I don't mind super glue gel, but if I want place some frags in plugs, this looks like a good solution.
Thanks,
George

Its reef putty made by two little fishies
I got a free tube at MACNA and it worked great for acros on plugs/rocks. However, I would never use it to directly attach corals because this stuff creates alot of heat when curing and you would chance losing whatever youre trying to attach

I agree with Sean. When I first bought a few frags of SPS I was told to use 2 part epoxy putty and was sold it in the store I got the frags from. Each one of them became necrotic around the putty within 24 hours and 2 days later each was a bare skeleton. I've had much better luck with plain old superglue.

Two other problems I've seen with the 2 part epoxies also.

1. It may mold around the frag fine but you realy need to scrub clear the rock you are attaching it to or the frag and cement will come loose at a later date.

2. it makes my skimmer go nuts when I use it for a day or two - get lots of fine foam.

Didn't realize that about the heat - also trying to mix it with anything but the dryest hands / work surface is an exercise in futility.
