Can anyone tell me how to help my brain from fading. Eversince the move its faded dramatically. It doesn't seem to have lost any mass but the color is extremely pale. This was once my prize piece and now I'm kinda ashamed of it. Is there anyting that might bring the color back.

The tank is a 40 stretch hex, I have a 250watt HQI MH pendant phoenix 14K bulb, less than a month old, before that I was using a hamilton 14K bulb. My filtration is a HOB aquafuge with plenty of chaeto and live rock and a tunze DOC nano skimmer. I check my parameters weekly and everything is OK. When I moved everything into the new tank they were coming from a 58gal with a 250MH SE 10K bulb, this is the only coral that seems to have a problem with the move everything else is looking very good.

Let's see, stay away from TV, maybe try reading a book or two, you could even try taking a few math or science classes. I think there are some dietary supplements that are supposed to help with memory and concentration.
Oh, you mean your brain coral...could be a lighting change or just some water quality issues. Try feeding it a few small pieces of krill right after the lights go out.

I had one that was receding off the skeleton. They are (or at least mine is) very pick on water flow. Try a different location

The brain is on the sandbed and in a small cave crevice. Water current is not excessive in that spot. Other than the color the brain appears normal. The muscle tissue is still fat and in the evening the sweepers still appear for feeding. Not sure whats the problem, but its really disturbing because this is the only coral that seems to be affected. I have another open brain and it looks fantastic and my sps are thriving.
