growth rates & color

Just Curious, given the fact that each tank is different and different corals grow at different rates, and assuming tank conditions are ideal for coral growth.....what is the norm for you in noticing new growth on a newly placed coral? and if brown when going in, what kind of time frame for starting to see some very noticable color change.. like i said, just curious about others experiences.

I have noticed new growth in as little as a couple of weeks. I have 2 frags right now that I can't get out of their brown phase for the life of me and I've had them several months. Sad cause I've seen the mother colony and it is awesome.. Yet everything else is growing super fast right now and have great color.
