I stuck a 30 and 40 gallon bog garden. the water allway clear.. Plus I have some where my dragon fly can breed..
I started with a the prefab liner. Hated it because you can never reallly hide the liner. It would be to smooth or to much at a angle. So this year I ripped it all out and put in the roll out liner. LOL it was funny cause I just started digging one weekend. JUst poopen along. Then I finally looked how big I was making it. LOL Lets just say I dont think My house was built in texas. Its from some where else. I didnt hit any rocks.. 8)

Yea, water garden gems is HIGH, I got all my stuff off the web. I have a surface skimmer that uses a pondmaster 2400, then there's a bottom drain system that uses a 3000 gph fountian pump from home depot ($99). I kinda did the same thing, just went out and dug the outline to see how hard it was gona be and never stoped. Had mine dug in 2 months. I had to use a jackhammer when I got past the top soil. This fall I'm gona build a lilly pond next to the other one, and raise fancy goldfish.
