I'm setting up my first sump in my 58g reef and it comes with a fuge..
I have a bag of the "mud" but what should i put in it besides the mud?
Any suggestions on something that would help this poor reef?

Ive heard of the mangroves...not sure what that is or where to get it.
the Halimeda plant... i thought this goes directly in the tank not the fuge?

any advice would be appreciated..

thanks
Thelma

if you're into growing plants then mangroves do well in mud. Be prepared to cut them back after awhile. I use a combo of Cheato and mangroves. I like the mangroves for Aesthetic reasons. You can find them on ebay. Chaeto you can find for free here.

Mangroves, and cheato is the way to go, I got over 80 mangroves in the sump of the 240 and 60 in the 215, water quality is excellent, I think finaddict has some for sale
