Last night I was watching my tank and saw my female clark clown carrying pieces of shell and rock to other places in the tank! :wacko She has apparently been doing this for a while because I have a rather large indention in the sand bed! I guess she doesn't approve of me being in charge of where things go. After all it is HER tank! She is actually going to be moved again though (much to her chagrin) because I see teeth marks on the side of my foxface that seem to match her perfectly. :angry What an odd little fish!

COOL!!! So is she already preggers?? Should I move her to my 10 gal, or just let her continue the nest in the main tank? (It's a 75 and I would have one heck of a time getting the 'lil buggers out of there!!
Who was it that raised these guys?? 8)

Actually, she saw you watching home decor on TV and she is doing the same in her tank. :P :D

Yeah, I thought it looked like she had a color scheme going! :P
So, is she already pregnant? Should I move her now (with or without her mate). She can be a mean one...I can only imagine what it will be like when she actually lays the eggs! I may be moving her anyway soon.
Will she eat her own young? I'm going to look up more info in just a min...

My female GSM started doing this as soon as she reached puberty and went through the "change." It doesn't necessarily mean that she is ready to spawn. Its just her female personality working on rearranging the furniture and putting up new curtains.

How will I know if she is indeed pregnant?

You won't. Larry can give you more details, but I think they have to be about 4 yrs. old before they start to spawn. You first sign will probably seeing them guarding eggs. The first few spawns are going to be pretty small.
