My pH is really low 7.8 every thing looks fine at the moment, My bro accidentually broke the container for the alk test, should i be worried is there any thing househould i can add pronto?

I think I might have your problem solved? Check your calcium levels, if you have been using Oceanic salt for a long time your calcium will be off of the scale. The only way you can check it if it is, take some DI water and dillute your salt water by half and then double the results. Most test will not work over 500. If you have too much calcium everything else goes down hill, change to Instant Ocean which is low in calcium. This should help buffer your tank back up and reduce your cacium. Make small but multiple water changes so not to shock your tank. I had this problem about a year ago. If you check the archives you will find the Oceanic Salt debate that went on forever. In a nut shell if you have Corals that use a lot of calcium it's great but if not( see above)
