T5 Actinics

Whats the general concensis on T5 actinics to suppliment 10k halides?

Ed? You out there? I know you're using T5's, whats your opinion on the actinics?

While I'm no T-5 expert, I like mine. I'm currently supplementing 3 250W DE 14k pheonix bulbs with 4 39W T-5 actinics. I wish I had the room for more, but my tank looks just fine with just the 4 bulbs running. I thought about using 10K MH's, but I like a bit more of the blue-ish look.

I didn't chime in because I'm not using them with halides. ;)

However, I think you would like the UVL Super Actinic R. I'm running them on my system against an equal number of 6500K bulbs and my tank has a very 'white' look.
The reflector makes all the difference with T5s. I like the TEK reflectors.

You should come by and see them in person.
