I came home last night and checked on a newly purchased GBTA and initially could not find it since it was dark. It was getting beat up by one of the Tunzes. It looks ok right now, but it is behind a rock. How tough are these guys?

As long as it didn't get torn up, it might be ok. I say might be, 'cause these can be hard to keep, at first. Once they get comfortable and eating, they tend to do OK.

Hard to tell. I had a RBTA that I saw part of it that had gone through my closed loop pump. There were little tips everywhere from the ride that made it through the pump. About two weeks ago I found a smaller RBTA sitting behind a rock so apparently part of it made it. Yesterday I noticed a second RBTA, I'm guess that when part went through the ride the rest split on me. I'm not sure but it was the weirdest thing.

I have a GBTA that was also a friend of my Tunze powerhead. They met in the dark one night. I awoke to a gooey mess inside the powerhead impeeler and all over the tank. Being the lazy arse I am I decided to leave it all alone. I now have 5x 2" mini GBTA's all doing wonderful.

I'll see if either one ever gets to where I can get them out.

Oddly my GBTA stays at the bottom of my tank...I put him up top on one of my returns so he could maybe travel around and get situated...he dropped to the bottom of the tank, put his foot down and has stayed there. He hasn't relly bubbled back up too much except when the MH's are on. But he eats like a champ!
