Hello everyone! This is my first post to the forum, but I am sure glad to find a local saltwater group!!
I am relatively new to the Salwater Aquarium hobby and I have what may be a stupid question. I have a colony of zoanthids that is placed about 10 inches from the surface of the water. At night when my moonlights come on my zoanthids that are under the LED moonlights will stay open. As a test I left the moonlights on all night and those Zoanthids that were under the light stayed open while the ones not under the LED stayed closed. My question is will this affect thier symbiotic algae that lives in them? Should I either move my zoanthids away from the LEDs, or just run my moonlights for a few hours each night?
