so Dry dead live rock... been in my saltwater tank for 6 months is it now considered live rock?

Quick answer - Yes.
But is it good live rock? That depends on how diverse the rock and sand already in that tank was and how well its been run. I cultured 2000# of dry hawaiian rock and it turned out to be really nice rock. 6 months in my culture system would produce rock nicer than most stores sell with nearly complete coraline coverage on lit areas, lots of sponges/ small featherdusters, etc..

Yea I believe I got about 100lbs from ratboy and it was excellent rock. Then my tank crashed when I went to hawaii and then I put a few live pieces and everything grew back nicely.
