Question, that is made outta plywood right? How did you seal it, both thewood and the plexiglass to the front?? I think that this is very interesting idea. I guess Finally how big of one could you make?

all the seams are put together with liquid nails and 2' screws every 2 inches. the insides seams were covered in fiberglass and then painted with epoxy paint... finally the glass was placed using good old silicone.

Awesome looking tank! I have a couple of questions about the build.

1. Where did you buy the glass for the front?
2. What Silicone did you use to seal the edges underneath the Fiberglass, and secure the glass?
3. How long did it take you from start to finish?
4. Estimated cost to build? (if you don't mind me asking)
5. Where did you buy the 2 part epoxy paint?

Thanks for the answers, as I am researching this project and going to be attempting it soon. Trying to get everything I need before I start. thanks!

1 glass was purchased at regal plastic off rittaman
2 used GE 100% don't get the stuff for kitchen or bath. it has stuff that kills mildew and will probably be toxic to fish and inverts
3 it could be done in a week but this took me about 6 months since it was a part time project and i had a baby(actually wife did)
4 $250 -$300 total
5 dulux paint on broadway
6 90 gals
