whats a fast way i can use to cool off my water? should I put a MJ under it so the water is consntly moving?

zip lock bags full of ice or fans or both. the MJ will only add more heat.

its about 83 and usally have it at 79, is it that big of a problem or is thia an ok temperature?

You know what im going to get a couple of ice cube trays and fill them up with aqaurium water

83 is still OK, if it gets to 85 or more you'll start running into problems. Why is your temp up? Is it the lights?

83 is ok louie. you dont want to go much above 85 though IMO.
i dont think saltwater freezes so easily. ;)

in a deep fish freezer it will freeze 8)

just checked 28.5F.....or you can throw a flounder in there

I turned off the light so my tank should be going back to normal . im going to make the canopy about 10 inches high

You need to get fans blowing across the water when you have all the lights on. For now a couple of inexpensive clip on fans from WalMart will work.

you know those fans that go in a restroom, like the exaust or something like that i put on near the light and the temp seems to just stay at 80

Fans will work. Less than $4 at Big Lots. Clip ons.
