I have a green sps I got from fin addict which has been healthy and growing it has 4 branches one turned white in last couple days and now spreading to another branch should I cut those off in hope it doesn't spread? or just see what happens?

you can do both but when i have had that problem i just cut and BAM most the time problem solved

also put it a little lower in your tank.

Cut off the bad part....fast. Cut it about 1/2" below any bad parts.

There are a ton of things that can cause this.

"Typically" top down recession is Alkalinity issure...but not always. Bottom up recession is usually from high Phosphates, Nitrates or algae around the base.

if you do cut off the bad branch, you might also think about patching the cut area with super glue gel... helps bandage the area and growth over the patch will be easy..
