Hey All
I just recived my parts to upgrade my lighting. It is a compact flourescent upgrade.
I have:
2 x Pony NPY-120-132CFL
2 x Endcap
2 x power cord
Ok now! The ballast has two wires, a black and white power wire. The plug/power cord has three wires, a green, a blue and a light green/dark green wire.
How do the two wires from the ballast connect to the three wires from the power cord?

One of the wires on the cord is a ground which one not sure you just need to attach the ground wire to the ballast when you wount it. Usually the white wire is the hot and the black is neutral and green is ground. HTH

Thanks Doug!
Can someone help us to figure out the colors on the power wire?

You can use meter to check which wire is which. then lable then with a piece of tape. If I remeber correctly the wider plug is the neutral and the thin one is the hot wire and of course the round one is the ground. Use a meter the has ohms and you can see which wire is which and go from there with the rest of the wiring.

Unfortunately I do not have an ohm meter/voltometer. I was hoping that the colors on the power wire were common, lol.
Do the colors vary on the power wires or are they all the same?

Usually they are the same! white, black, and green. I am sure some one here has a voltometer that you can borrow for this wiring deliema. If I was there I would loan you mine old but it works like a charm. You can get one form Wally-World for about 12 bucks. You can contact the vendor and ask them they might know by chance. Worth a shot if you ask me. With out a voltmeter it will be hard to determine other then stripping the sleeve off. Sorry I could be of more assistance.

If you have some light guage wire, a battery, and the top of flashlight, you can find which of the wire is "Ground". That is the round pin on the power cord plug. Just wire up the flashlight and the battery with the green wire and rounded pin on the power cord. If it lights, green is the ground. It should then be attached to the case of the ballast. The other two would connect to the black and white of the ballast.
NOW, having said that...I accept NO responsibility if you and/or your ballast light up like Las Vegas and then vanish in a puff of smoke. If you don't normally work with electricity, you should have someone who does test and wire it up for you...
Juice from the wall can kill you.

Ok everybody, I contacted the vendor as doug suggested. I should have just called them first, they were able to explain every thing to me just by looking at my order.
It goes like this...
Black wire to Brown wire
White wire to Blue wire
Ballast mount to Green/Yellow wire
I got it and its all good, :)
Thanks for the support everyone!

My father has my digital camera. His camera went out on him. It suck, I wanted to take some pictures and post them in my "tank rebuild" thread.
