I'm very grateful that you credited me on those pieces! They should look very awesome in that setup!

Did that Acropora soli/efflo make it? It was the little already mounted one that I threw in that was purplish and the mother colony is one of my favorite tabling acro's.

Hey, if something dies within a few days of getting it from me I'll give you free refills.

By the way this guy is an awesome guy to talk to, I love doing business with him.

Everything circled in red is from this last trip and the one in yellow was from last trip. Dustin, the eflo is right between my 2 orange caps, on the top left side.

That is going to look real good when it all grows out, I think one of my favorites parts is watching it grow.
I zoomed in and noticed this on the bottom in your sand, watch out I don't believe it is reef safe.

That'd be one of my many, many geckos. Another of my very expensive hobbies.

I just caught this thread! Nice cube you got there! :)

I noticed that you picked up some corals that have higher lighting needs. You mentioned that you intend on adding additional lighting to your cube. How do you think those corals will fair until the upgrade?

I too have a 24 gallon JBJ Nanocube and I love it. I had mine up and running for about a year then I tore it down due to a reoccuring cyanobacteria problem. You can take a look at my rebuild using this link ( http://www.maast.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=18745&sta rt=105 ).

They've been up top close to the light and they've browned out but are surviving just fine, I can't wait to get the MH on them and get their colors back.

Are you planning on putting a MH bulb in your cube? The only reason that I ask is because you stated earlier (in the thread) that you were going to upgrade with additional CFL.

MH would definately be awsome!!! :) What are you going to due to deal with the heat issue?

I'm planning a 150W and I'm either going to add an Ice Probe or 2 ICA's in series. On top of that I'm going to try and squeeze in another 36W and a 24W actinic in the back, I've already done my own moonlight mod, if you're interested in that let me know.

What lighting do you currently have?

That is a ton of light in the tank! Have you considered the 1/10th inline chiller (I forgot the manufacturor's name). That may be right up your alley considering your future needs. I know it is a bit more pricey but it may be worth the extra protection.

Why don't you do a write up mod on the moonlight! :) I would be very interested in seeing it. If you wanted you could post it in my thread, lol :) .

Here's the update, I just added the lights tonight.
Here's the actual light added,

This is what the lid looks like with the stock lights and the new ones.

Some of the corals in there.

I'd recommend these if you like looking at your tank at night. I may add another, once I redo my hood this summer.

What is the link to the moon light? or Did you buy it locally?

I've got a wholesale account with them, it's quite nice actually. As to the hood, wait until I'm done with my mods, I'm pretty sure I can squeeze 282W into the hood it's about `15W per gallon.

How did you manage this? Do you get deep discounts, lol :)

Are we talking fire hazard here? I'm jealous already. Make sure to document your build process. It is always nice to look back on when you are finished.

shouldn't be a fire hazard, I'm adding 2 more fans to the hood and the MH will only run 5 hours a day, 2 36W 10,000K daylights and 1 36W50/50 should be enough for the rest of the daylight hours. The 24W will be the actinic I'm hoping it will give the tank enough good color.

But when you're interested I'll show you the 5.5 I've got going, it's the smaller project.
