My zoos have been declining for awhile and Im not sure exactly what is causing it. Ive checked for sun dial snails but have not seen any at all. The only thing I see on them are the amphipods. My zoos are being chewed off the rocks and then the float into my tunze pumps or into the overflow. Is there any way to stop them from eating zoos or are they doomed?

Sure you don't have the nudi that eats zoos? Take one affected colony and dip it to see what falls off.

I did find one small nudi ones took it out and killed it but it was eating my porites and sps. Ill try the dip and see what comes off. All my beautiful colonies are almost gone. Do I just dip In fw? Thanks for the help

I dipped in fw and I found a small snail with a funnel shell and a black limpet with a white tip. Anything I should be looking for in particular besides sun dial snails?

Make sure the zoas do not have the eggs on their stalks. You can notice them by the circular pattern near the head of the zoa when it is closed up. They are pretty small so you will have to look close. If they do have them, dip them in RO water and gently scrape them off with a needle or toothpick. Don't poke them, just brush the needle or toothpick sideways so that they loosen up and fall. Oh yeah, make sure and wear protective eyewear and gloves when you do this. (Palytoxins)
