White spots

I have a ton of little white spots on the back glass (especially around and behind my overflow box) and on my powerheads. Could these be pods? I don't know if a pic would do any good, as I wouldn't be able to get a real close up shot.

I think the tank should be mature enough for them to be pods. I have about 85 lbs of liverock the 55 gallon, as well as about 125 lbs of live sand. I added about 65 lbs of the liverock about 7-8 months ago, but the rest of the rock and livesand have been in there for at least a year.

I've been thinking of building a fuge so that I can get a Mandarin, but maybe I don't need it to produce food. \

are they moving? if so, two possibilities come to mind - if they are scurrying about, probably pods, but if they are moving slow, they could be baby snails, baby stomatella, or (the not so good possibility) flatworms. pics would help. ;)

I'll try to get a pic. I don't see them moving, though. The more I look at them, the more I think they're just little calcium deposites or something. When I did my water change last time, I took out the powerheads and scrubbed them all clean. The white spots came off when I did this. Now, 2 weeks later, they're back.

the may be sessile snails. looks like a tiny white snail shell that is attached to the glass and has a thin tube sticking up into the water.

OK, here's a pic. Like I said, I couldn't get a real close up view. I don't see anything sticking out of them, either.

if you look really close theyre kind of spiral shaped. theyre harmless

The whole back side of my 120 is covered in these little things. They are also on the rocks in some places. It takes a magnifying glass to see the little feathers. I have millions of them. They don't seem to effect anything. My xenia grow over them, my anemones cover them, and the snails just cruise right over them.

Feather dusters makes sense. I have a lot of little pink ones all over my liverock. And, there are a ton of the little white tubes on the rock that they grow out of without the "feathers." These are probably just the start of the white tubes, huh? Truthfully, I can't see anything but white spots. I'll keep a closer eye on them.
