All of the lfs are good. There is Wolf Reef, Pets R Us, Alamo aquatics, Fin Addict, aquatic warehouse & Fissy Businesss. These are not in any particular order. Just think aloud. Welcome to MAASt.

Welcome to MAAST so-smrt! The LFS's listed above are a great start! They all are supportive of MAAST and very helpful. Another great LFS is CB Pets in Bulverde...Richard & Mark are awesome...also a MAAST Sponsor. It is worth the drive to Bulverde. ;) Most of the LFS's have their strengths...all depending on what you are looking for. My opinion...give 'em all a try! :)

There are a lot of great people here at MAAST - also helpful & very knowledgable...so don't hesitate in asking a question...

Equipment is hit or miss on these stores if they have what you need in stock. ALL will be able to order what you need though. CB has a lot of equipment in stock and so does Alamo Aquatics. As for livestock, they are all fairly nice. Depending again on what you want to stock, depends on which store has the best livestock for your setup. If you got the gas to spare, spend a Saturday doing a LFS tour. You will see their setups and what they normally have in their stores. Its up to you to bring your wallet ;)

If you haven't already seen it, check out or Pet Store Listings (http://www.maast.org/stores.php). It also lists are MAAST sponsor stores as well. ;)

so-smart, my less then socially adept brethren and sisters failed to welcome you to MAAST. Please make yourself at home and if you have any questions or comments please jump in and post them. I think you will find that we have some very knowledgeable folks on just about any topic of the hobby here. I'm sure everyone will be interested in following your progress on a very unique tank.

Just a question, did you follow the GARF plans for your tank? I know they have some good ideas on wooden tanks.
