just spent $2000 of money i don't have to get my empty aquarium up and running. I'm dead when my wife finds out. it will still be a month or two before i can even put any water in it. not to mention i haven't bought lights yet. i just have a couple of VHO's to help with coralline algae growth while tank is settling in.

Well... your wife could bury you in the aquarium atleast, cheaper than a casket. :lol

Congrats on the gi-normous purchase! We need some pics!

No ofense, but with 2 grand you could have gotten yourself a very nice used system, I'm talking 240 fully loaded with skimmer, pumps, lights etc.

Ways to hide your cost from your loving wife: Do not let the fish store give you a receipt. Most stores will change there price tags to a cheaper one after you pay. Pay cash when ever possible, hard to trace. Pay the kids off so they don't come home and say "Mom Dad got a New Fish Today". Because without the kids mine takes about a month or two to notice. And the number one way is to never give your wife a short cut to MAAST.org Website, or install as favorites on your computer.Good luck on your new tank

Spoken like a true expert on this sensitive topic. Alton, how many tanks are you up to now? 3? 4?

200, 155, 75, 29, and a 20 hidden in the toy room. I don't think she know about this one. I have always enjoyed building my own stands and doing the entire setup.
