Finally all seems to be coming together on this set up. I have been testing it for 8 hours now. So far no leaks and system is working fine. Will continue test until tomorrow. At that time if all is OK I will hook it up to the tank.

Jim, looks good, can't wait to see it in action. As I said you should be able to dump at least a cup or two of kalk powder in there without any problems of undissolved kalk getting in the tank. Try it, and if you feel the KW you're dosing is too cloudy for your tastes, you can shorten that internal PVC pipe by a couple of inches.

Hooked up and in action. I will run the kalkreactor 24/7. It is program to drip 75ml of kalkwasser every hour. This adds up to 1/2 gallon which is what my tank evaps a day.

The dosing pump is sold by a guy who takes medical dosing pumps and refurbishes them for reef use. Since they're originally designed for dosing medicine, I suspect they're very accurate and reliable.

Very nice Jim. I need to get my system as much automated as possible as well. I am getting the Reefkeeper and then a kalk reactor.
