Okay in my stand i have wires from 2 fans, 2 power heads, a skimmer, a filter, ballast wires, wires from the bulb, and im pretty sure theres a few others that im forgetting. anway jynxgirl made me wonder what would happen if for some reason water leaked into the stand and all my wires were to fry. this cant be safe. is there anything i can do to keep these wires safe? i dont want to come home and find out i either started a fired or i lost everything due to a leak.

drip loops help. make sure that there are no plugs (like powerstrips) on the very bottom of your stand. all wires should fall lower than the point they plug in and then go up to plug in, so if water is running down the chord it drips off at the lowest point b4 it gets to the place where it plugs in. use GFCI outlets and powerstrips that have a GFCI circuit or overload circuit. even with all of that, no guarantees :blink
