back ground color

im tired of looking at my dirty white walls as the back ground. ive heard that black brings out the best color but i see a lot of blue back grounds. why not read or green? what do you guys use? what would be the best color choice?

Personaly I like Paisley or Waverly, plaids cool too.

I like both black and blue backgrounds. You can either paint the back or buy a sheet of black or blue splashproof paper at the aquarium store.

maybe i could do like a black and blue plad or even better i could get a pic of me and get it blown up and fitted so it could fit the back of my tank so when im not there the fish could still check out my pretty face, HA HA HA. thats awesome. jessica alba would be pretty hot too! if i wanted to save money i could get a back ground with all kinds of coral so i wouldnt have to spend 100's at LFS. i think i saw a plastic leather and some plastic polyps at pet co for like 10 bucks. that way they will never die and i will still have money in my pocket. i think i will go with black though. i would still like to hear everyone opinons though. dont hold back now.

i think im going to go with black because that 20k puts out enough blue as it is. nice pics richard i just checked them out. you have a seprate tank for sea horses? thats pretty darn cool.

Yep, that is just a qt tank really. The real SH tank is a 92 corner which I hope to get plumbed up this weekend. Already painted the back of it, can you guess what color LOL.

There is also really dark purple by Painters Touch at HD that I always thought would look good. Looks like the color of purple coralline. Never been brave enough to try it though.

For some reason black always makes the tank look smaller to me.

The guy I bought my 100g from used car tinting and tinted the back. It looks cool.

i put a mirror on the back of the tank once - it looked really cool.

I bet that mirror made it look really deep. That sounds cool. I haven't put a background on mine either, but am considering that purple Richard mentioned...and now the mirror. Decisions decisions. :unsure
