Has anyone used or heard of any feedback on this controller? I'm looking to get a controller for my system and this one looked like it had much more than the others.

Any good or bad experiances with any type of controllers to where I need to stay away from or lean towards?

I like the fact that it is not x10 based

I have one that I bought from mikeyboy. I don't have it controlling anything as of yet - I've downloaded their free software, but haven't had too much luck getting it working. It's not the most user friendly device I've seen...

I use the ReefKeeper on my 215. Controls my pumps, streams, heater, 2 halides (need to get the expansion unit to control the rest). I love it!

I don't know what they have added/changed on the ReefKeeper II though.

Pretty much the only thing different about the II is that the II model have a PH monitor. I think I'm going to go ahead and purchase the II and a few Tunze powerheads.

I love my Reefkeeper I. I just wish they would let you trade up to the new model.
I use the expansion module for my halides, otherwise it would occasionaly reset itself. I think the II has 2 sockets redesigned to avoid the resetting problem.

Apparently the II can be flashed from your home computer whenever they release a new build. Don't know if the 1 had this feature.

I have the Reefkeeper on one of my tanks and I like it. Controls lights, fans and powerheads. I'm going to get another one for my 55 gal tank.

Those that have used the module before, for controlling your pumps, does it just cut them on and off or can it adjust the flowrate?

It just cuts them on/off. It's supposed to have a soft-start feature. You can set the duration of the cycle, and set a third pump to a different cycle. Then there's a night mode which is a different cycle. The night mode is on when all lights are off. On the II model, the night mode can be set independent of the lights.

Can Tunze pump (6060 or 6080) be used on a wavemaker cycle?

Yes. My tunzes are controlled with my reefkeeper. You can set any of the eight channels to be a powerhead on the wavemaker program.

Here's a link to the owners manual for the reefkeeper:

They have the manuals to all thier products posted on thier website.

I had the original Reefkeeper. It worked great, but I didn't like the simplicity of it and the fact that it wasn't customizeable. I sold it and upgraded to the Aquacontroller Jr. and it will let me control anything I want and however I want. I'm much happier with the AQJR.

Richard,

What cycle range do you have your Tunze's on?
