Well ok so I got back to my apartment to find water coming out my front door. I had left my R/O Unit on in my seahorse tank. Im totally surprised my seahorses were still alive. Well so I didnt even have any new salt water ready and well it would have taken too long to make some. I had to put them in a bucket of salt water I filled with my 100g tank water. They still didnt look very good, so I decided to just tear down my sea horse tank. The salinity was pretty much 0 anyway. I just acclimated them to the 100g tank water and put them in. The only critters I have in there that might do them damage is a Sally Lightfood and a Spiny Urchin. I didnt feel like I had much of a choice putting them in there becuase I was afraid they were going to die in the bucket. They look fine now but Im worried about the crab maybe getting a hold of them. Do you think a Sally Lightfood or Urchin would be as aggressive to take out a seahorse? Again they are in a very large tank. Sorry if Im rambling in this post. It's been a very long evening.

I think your probably fine short term with the sally lightfoot in the large tank but just to be safe I would give the crab a nice meal (shrimp, krill etc.) so it doesn't get hungry and decide to go SH hunting.

No worries on the urchin.

i dont think the urchin would harm them but can the crab go to the sump? or bucket? it might take advantage of them during the night, expecially if they are worn out.

A couple of of things to watch out for. Flow - I don't know how much your 100G has but seahorses do not need much. If you have other fish in tank watch the seahorses when you feed, they are very slow eating compaired to other fish when it's chow time.

Best of luck
