Plate Auction Coming

*** NOTICE TO MEMBERS ***
MAAST will soon be conducting an auction of these plates!
These plates are a limited edition series from the Danbury Mint, titled "Underwater Paradise" by Robert Lyn Nelson. The plates are approximately 8" in diameter.

The MAAST BOD would like to extend our extensive gratitude to Jim Norris, a long time respected member of MAAST. Jim donated these items so that MAAST members could enjoy them and to serve as a fundraising source for the club.

In the next week or so we will start the auction process and you will all have a chance to bid on and acquire one or more of these plates.

Everyday collector value of these plates is probably in the $50-$150 range, but in reality the value all depends on what value they bring to you. However, this is also an opportunity for members to give back to MAAST and get a really nice decoration for that fish room ;) So save those dollars, and get ready for this auction to begin soon.

Yea these are nice... I saw the post but didn't know we were suppossed to comment or put our name in. Thought it was another information post. Which by the way I think are great. We get to stay informed of what's going on in the BOD.

No, just second hand info through mutual friends.

Did we ever sell these plates? If not, why not throw them on eBay and widen our audience? I would assume that the club could use the extra money to fund an event or two.
