Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and not really sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I'm going on vacation to San Antonio next April and want to take the opportunity to buy a lot of dry goods that other wise will cost and arm and a leg here in Mexico due to LFS prices or shipping expenses, so was wondering where in the San Antonio area would be best to find them and who has the best prices, I wiil be looking for skimmers, cal reactors, pumps, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Alfonso, let me know if you come through the Mcallen area. I'd be happy to show you around some of our LFS here. Tigres or Rayados?

Cool. Tigres all the way here soon. I sometimes go to monterrey for business as well. Just let me know. ALso, we will be setting up our own discussion forum for the rio grande valley and maybe one of these days you can make it to one of our meetings. It will take you roughly about 2 hours if you take the autopista.

little bit north of San Antonio is CB pets, they carry some very interesting stuff you might not find elsewere. the owners are bar none, the best in the biz.

If you are looking for equipment I would also suggest CB Pets. The other LFS can order what you want but CB Pets is the only one that I know that carries a lot of equipment in stock in their store. Alamo Aquatic also has a good selection but is not as reef oriented as CB. Your other option is to contact them before you come up and ask them to order what you are looking for before you arrive. Any of the better shops in SA would do that for you. The other shops that are in the SA area that I would suggest are Fin Addict and Aquatic Warehouse.

Yes, we do tend to specialize in fish and corals! If you would like a price quote on any item, shoot me a pm. I should be able to get it in by the time you come into town! Just let me know! :)
