i think that it is kind of funny that scientist keep saying that global warming is caused by fossil fuel and industry but the earth has always had this problem even when humans werenot around. if i remember right some scientist have said that we are overdue foran ice age to start

:lol , I am all for global warming. Hopefully it will get hot enough that humans (earth's plague) will start dying off due to disease and illness. It won't be the rich or middle class that die, but poor people. A lot of the poor people on the earth come from countries linked with terrorism, so BAM, no more terrorist problems. And in countries such as the great U.S.A. (the greatest civilization to exist thus far...because thats the way God intended) will rid itself of the majority of the Democrate voting base. And then our problems really get solved. Without the libs in office we will have less taxes which mean more money in my pocket to stock my mini-reef.....and in the end.....the temp. will return to normal and I will just have to frag my corals and plant them back in the ocean for my children to enjoy. :lol

To quote Ben Stiller in "Dodgeball" - "I'm kidding.....but no, seriously!"

i do believe conservation is needed and yes we are destroying the planet but the planet has had just as many things occur naturally thru countless years that will effect the enviroment. at one point inour history the planet was at least 20 deg. hotter and so much methane and carbon dioxide and monixide that humans could notlive here but there were large animals living and prospering untill an ice age changed the climate.

With all this coral bleaching it is our duty to take frags from all corals of all reefs and put them in our temperature controlled tanks that way we can repopulate the earths reefs when they all die and temp is back to normal. :lol

not my tank because mine are bleaching in there :( . Maybe this is a clue though as to my problems recently. My parameters seem good and my fish and soft corals look great but my hard corals have been having bleaching problems. I don't have a chiller (or a good heater) I wonder if I'm having temp. problems? :( :(

and the government should subsidize our efforts with really nice chillers!

There is actually a theory that global warming will cause a change in ocean current patterns that will lead to another ice age. OK, so coastal flooding and coral bleaching are not a good thing. Stop and think about what glaciers extending as far south as St. Louis will do for you. That could ruin your whole day. I don't think we will be worrying about chillers then. Just go get some snow off your front porch in June and use that for cooling. That's if you have food to eat and fuel to heat with in the first place.

If there are other people around, there is plenty of food, for me anyways.

Sounds just like that what happens in the movie Day After Tomorrow, just at a slower pace.
