worm thing

I was lokking at my GSP and noticed this long worm thing hanging on it. I stuck my hand in to see what it might be and it retracted into some kind of shell or cocoon. My GSP haven't come out in days...do you think this could be the problem? I will try to take a pic if it come back out again.

It's probably some kind of tube worm or a hydra. They are nothing to worry about. GSP will occasionaly just not open up a for awhile, mine do it sometimes.
