Premiumaquatics.com also carries the Giesemann brand bulbs. You could replace the bulbs with a different metal halide bulb if you wanted.

Aquatek in Austin. And they also do great job in repairing Giesmann lights for the future if you ever need it.

Looking for some information about my Giesemann and hit this post... I know it's old but... I just got some bulbs for ours 2x250W (250 W DE HQI 14,000K METAL HALIDE AQUARIUM BULB) on ebay that have been running for a day now and they seem to be nice...

This is the exact one:

this is the store: http://stores.ebay.com/A-to-T-Lamps-Light-Bulb-Store

I would advise staying away from the A-to-T lamps. They are cheap and poorly made. Mine lasted about a month before the color went crazy and the bulb died.

I really like the phoenix 14K; with the M80 ballast it's about equal in PAR to the geisemann 13K megachrome, but the geisemann has a color temp of 8700 (more yellow than a true 10K) where the phoenix is off the chart, meaning it's really blue. Since there's usually a big trade off between color and PAR, the phoenix is the only really blue bulb (that I know of) that competes with the 10ks in PAR.

Hellolights just did an awesome order for me. I really enjoyed their service. I also bought the Pheonix 14K's and was really impressed. I've heard all the stories of them being really blue but mine seem super white in my tank and no crazy floursence problems ( I like my tank to look more normal than some).

I really really like the Coralvue reeflux bulbs personally. The 10k with actinic supplementation can't be beat and the 12k with no supplementation isn't bad!
