Anyone ever heard of a BTA hosting a damsel? My dad got a BTA yesterday and when I saw it today the little domino he has was hanging out in the BTA like he was a clown.

I believe normal damsels will get stung by anemones and die. We use to keep the green chromis with anemones and they kept dying so we moved them and they are doing much better now.

I had a Domino that did that, too. He would get in it, get stung, swim around shakin'-it-off and then go back. Thought it was kinda like gettin' a tattoo. LOL!

This little guy seems to be bothering the BTA more than anything. But he just gets in there and wiggles around almost like he's cleaning himself.

...Damsels are anemone fish..just like clownfish..So they are immune to the sting of anemones..Chromis usually fall in a separate category..a less aggresive fish..whether they are immune to stings..I have no clue.

Yeah, domino damsels usually live in large groups in the wild..Heteractis magnifica (Ritteri anemone's) usually host them, since those anemones get HUGE.

I have a domino that keeps hanging out in my long tenticle plate. I was like WTF until I looked up them being anemone fish.

Domino damsels will host an anemone. Mine did and he loved it until I got a clown. And then you know what happened next. The clown wouldnt even let him close. But yes you fish is fine.
