I had the pleasure of going over to Jose's House to check out his Seahorse/Pipefish and Reef Tank. Cool Stuff.

I camped there for quite awhile and took some pics.

He has got some cool stuff in these tank. Seahorse and pipefish galore and some mamoth clams and a ton tangs in his reef tank. More stuff to shoot in one outing. Anyway, it was fun. And everytime I go visit someone and their tanks I always learn something new. Today, Jose told me about his phyto growing project and well he gave me a culture and now I am trying it out too. Thanks JOSE!

Jose - I think this was a pretty good session as there are a number of pics I liked (hope u like some of them!). Here are a few of them.

I do not like how the full tank shots came out due to background glare and reflections. I will have to come over in the evening sometime and retake the full view shots. OH DARN! LOL.

Phew! Better break this up into mulitple posts.......More to follow....

there are about 20 SH and the females keep my males pregnant constantly, I just finished setting up the paternity ward LOL, before that a friend of mine would rear them for me, max. amount of baby horses.. 600 at one time.

the sohal is very friendly, gets along with every body, i think is due to his size, second largest fish in the tank, the purple usually picks at all new comers, not the sohal

Thanks for checking out Jose's tank pics and thanks for the comments everyone.

Very cool setup. In fact, so cool I am considering doing a 125 gallon seahorse/pipefish tank. I just so happen to have a brand new one that has been sitting in my living room for 2 years now doing nothing.

So Jose - You just cost me a fortune. LOL!

I do not know my seahorse and pipefish names very well yet. So I will let Jose gives us a list of species in his tank. He told them to me and now I cannot remember any of the names. I better stock up on some pipefish and seahorse books and get to reading.......

Oh it is very fun to watch the pipefish stalk down a ghost shrimp - there are a couple shots of them stalking them. I missed the shots of the actual moment of the attack though.

Sorry to cost you even more money Mark, ;)

there are kudas, tiger tails, reidis, alligator pipes, banded, small banded, janes, african blue stripe, dwarf gulf, long nose gulf, and they all eat poor little deliciuos ghost shrimp and other goodies

I think that is it
