Anyone know where to buy Chemi-Clean or Red Slime Remover in Austin? Also, how much does this stuff usually run? Until I find the source of nutrients or what ever is fueling my cyano I've got to get serious about removing it!

I can't really help you in Austin, but I would suggest you pull up the Austin pet store list from the over there <----- and call around and check availability and pricing.

If your local search doesn't work out then you can check out www.drfostersmith.com . They have both of the products that you listed here. Considering the shipping I would try and find it locally first though.

How long have you been battling the cyanobacteria? I went through a bout of cyano too, eventually I won, lol.

I know for a fact that Austin Aquariums has it as well as Aquadome. Beyond that I'm not sure but I'd bet Aquatek and River City carry it as well.

How much flow is in the tank? In my experiences cyano would bloom when the flow was to low. I have used chemiclean it works. However flow should fix it. Gallery of Pets on 183 @ duval has it. I remember seeing it at Aquatek also.

I would recommend going to Aquatek and ask for Bruce. He will give you the low-down without selling you anything that you don't need. :-)
