Would it be possible to keep 2 of them in the main chamber of a sump? Is this a really stupid question? Pardon my ignorance, but I just started researching them and will stop if this isn't even possible.

I think you will have to mcuh flow in a sump. These guys are not strong swimmers. How are you going to feed them when the feed is constantly being sucked out by the return pump and blown around by incomng water and discharge from the skimmer. I think putting them in a seperate refugium may be a better alternative. At least in the refugium they will have low flow, macro to hold onto, and a nice population of pods to feed on.

I am in the process of setting up a seahorse tank too. Originally, I planned on plumbing a refugium and my reef tank together and keeping the seahorses in the refugium. I was told that the seahorses could really dirty up the reef, so I decided to just keep them separate. However, I think it could probably be done with a ton of janitors.

My bad I thought you said in your fuge for some reason thats why it would be fine to do. I wouldn't put them in the sump just in a fuge. Thats how I kept a sargassum angler from the coast in the fuge when he was only the size of a dime till he got bigger.

Thanks for the input folks. I guess I can scratch that idea off the list.
