well, our heat went out this morning, and we can't get anyone over here till tomorrow or the next day! so, anyone have any ideas on how to keep the tank temp stable? i mean besides a heater, i just don't think it will keep up with the temps being like they've been.

It depends on the size of the tank and the size of the heater.

You could always buy a second heater to support your existing one. ^_^

Go buy a cheap heater or 2.

You could make a tent over the top with sheets. Place a light bulb under the sheet. Beware it does not touch, FIRE hazard. (picture citrus tree growers fighting a frost).

How about wrap / cover the tank with blankets.

Low wattage heaters will have difficulty keeping up with a very cold room. However they would be a wise investment for tonight. We should all have a couple extra for this type of situation.
