I've got a 29 gallon aquarium(cycled already) with a two clown loaches, a silver dollar, 8 white clouds, and one angel(recently died). The angel died this morning. He looked like he was crapping like usual but near the top of his anus looked like it was somewhat split open. He did look bloated. Shortly after he died. I've also noticed that the white clouds are bloated and the loaches too. If it is dropsy, i believe the culprit is the frozen blood worms i just started feeding them recently, perhaps too much i suppose. anyway does anyone know any good treatments that are available to the lay person.

You may want to call Austin Aquadome. The people there are knowledgeable. 512.442.1400. Also, I love Austin Aquariums (512.206.0646)

I have freshwater tanks too, but have never encountered this particular problem. The angels do seem to be the first to go when there is a problem though. :( Of course, they are my favorite.

Best of luck to you. Hope you can save your fishies!
