ok....The tank at school needs new lighting and the school won't buy. So do these ballast and lamps work?

They are cheap enough and I have a spare bulb. Would I be wasting my own money? The tank right now has two 24" 95 watt bulbs. 1 actinic and one daylight.
thanks for any help

I don't see why it wouldn't work David...
I would love it though if some kind soul here would donate an old fixture to your cause.

I've got a couple T5's I'll let go cheap. Dual T5's with ballasts 48" each total would be 4 54 watt bulbs or 215 watts. $60 for the set! There's a guy up in SA with some Maroon clows I want. I'll meet you 1/2 way if you'll pick up the clowns.

If you want T5 look at Aqualuxlighting.com or give polkster a PM on lights. He is very knowledgable and I am sure will have soemthing that will work.
