well im looking around on there site to see if i can find some kind of lighting i could put together but i really dont know what im donig. is there anyone who could give me a push in the right direction.

Homedepot does not list a lot of their stuff on line. What are you wanting to do, and keep?

well i really just wanted to put together some kind of lighting that has anywhere from 175w-250w for a decent price. i just want a softie tank but with a lot of color.

its a 55g 48" long and 12.5" wide

I put a T-5 on mine this December - about $200.

bstreep what T5 did you go with? TEK Coral Vue etc. I was thinking of a 2X39w T5 and a 2X95w URI super actinic for my 45g dominated by Zoas. I know that some like higher light and some like lower light so with that combo the colors will pop out great and the ones that need more light I can move to the top and the other on the bottom. Tank is only 16" tall.

Nova Extreme. Seems to be bright enough for the SPS I got from mikeyboy for the 215 - for now. Some are thriving, others are just holding their own. Zoos seem to think they are too bright...

Yeah that is why I am thinking of using a 2X39w retro with 2X95w URI super actinics will be dominately a Zoa tank.
