Aquatic Warehouse special order. Had it made RR, plus I had them put an additional 3/4 hole (left of the overflow) I will be useing to drain during water changes. No more syphoning with a hose...except for detruis since it will be a barebottom.

Sweet tank! Im interested as to how this will turn out because I will also be setting up a 60 cube in a few months.
Good luck Anson!

I like that idea about using the hole for water changes. How do you plan to do that?

You could also use the extra hole for a close loop...

I have a small hole on the bottom of my tank that can be used for easy water changes. Just have a ball valve on the bottom, attach a hose to the valve out the door and open valve. When I'm not using for drain I have a smaller piece of hose into my sump just in case the ball valve drips or leaks any.

f you don't mind can I ask what the dimensions are on your 60 gal cube? We want something nice & big but have limited space, looks like a cube same size as yours might work though!
Also, I just wanted to say that your 125 is BEAUTIFUL!

- I will just put in a bulkhead and attach some PVC inside, then a ball valve and I will figure out a way to attach a hose, so when I do water changes it can go directly to the toilet or bath tub. Right now I have to do 6 gal (a bucket) at a time with a syphone hose.....a big PITA!!!!!! I have also learned that external pumps are loud, no matter how quiet they are. Everything in the cube will be in the water...1) to reduce sound 2) so that it is very mobile. Again, I am downgradeing because I am anticipating a few moves this year.
FLUTTERBY - the dimensions are 24x24X24. The tank is an Oceanview. I got it for a great price. Don't get an Oceanic....I was quoted over $600, for exactly what I got on this tank....unless of course you have the money :D . I reef on a budget.

Hey Anson, check out the Velocity model external pumps, they are rated at only 30db, pretty quiet!!!

My Sequence Dart is SUPER quiet...and I do not even have my stand enclosed in yet...the skimmer makes more noise than the pump would ever....
