How is everybody's stuff doing? Hopefully better than mine...
Chad forgot to send a derasa I ordered, and on the 5 clam pack, only 1 out of the 5 looked healthy. 3 had receding mantles and 1 has a hole in it :( 2 are dead despite my effort in saving them. The 3rd one I got with the receding mantle is on its way out also :( Hopefully I will get a refund of some sort. I have honestly never seen clams shipped this unhealthy...

All is good here so far.
I know clams can be really touchy. They're tough, but they can also go south fast.
Bummer. I'm sure Chad will rebate you Sean.

Mine no lookie to good :o He never did open up. I hope that Chad will re-ship them and for free this time. It doesn't look good for more Reefscience orders.

Mine is soooo tiny, hes doing OK but hes just soo small he's gonna be super hard to keep.

Make sure to direct feed these little guys DT's or something similar. As you probably already know, when theyre that size they rely mostly on plankton and not so much photosynthesis for food. I used to put them in a container with DT's and let them feed till the water was clear, that way you dont contaminate your tank with excess nutrients, then put them back in the tank. Never had any casualties that way.

That's what sean was doing yesterday when i picked up mine. I will try that with mine. Maybe he will just suck up dt's and be happy as a clam :lol :lol :lol Couldn't resist that one. :shades

Yeah, i've been target feeding phytoplex to him, and seems to love it so hopefully he will do ok.

My order seems fine. However, I did not order any clams, I did order an Acanth and a Mille.

Well, although I lost 3, the other 2 look like they will do fine and are spectacular. He did refund me for the lost clams, great guy to deal with.

did he send yo a refund? He told me store credit only. Maybe I need to email again and see what's up.

He also told me that too, but it was his fault for not sending me the clam. You might try, but most online retailers are that way. Did your clam not make it?

my hippopus is ok for now, doesnt seem like he is fully open though.
