Does anybody have any experience with these pendants yet, and if if you did so with a DE bulb how did you set the glass for the bulb or does it come setup? I just thought I read somewhere that for the glass you were on your own.

The minis are small, similar to a ROlll only square. I have an LA3 and it comes with a flange on the bottom specificly for a glass shield, might wanna call Dan at www.pacificgardensupply.com for more info.

Yeah, I saw that they I believe are 14.5" x 14.5". Those might work for my tank if I decided to go, just didn't want to bother if they aren't much better than the pendants I already have.

i have the mini and it has the same flange on it.you could easily install a glass shield into it.i dont think they offer the de bulb socket set up though you may have to diy.

How impressed were you with it?

compared to the spider reflector i had before... maan ilove it.it gives off a 2'x2' area of intense light then tapers off a bit.i still manage to light my 3 foot tank with a single 250watt bulb.its very bright imo.

Thanks, I'm wondering if I'd see much benefit between the luminarc mini and my PFO mini pendant if I was to change it out.

Maybe Sanjay Joshi will test this one out soon against others pendants.
