Very pretty crab, would probably look even better on the spiral drip down the toilet. :lol

When in doubt, throw it out (or fuge it)

Hey everyone...I have a great idea!!!
instead of throwing away these crabs...start taking them to fin-addict and when I come by there ( usually once a week) I will start checking to see if they have any....I would not be adverse to buying them from fin-addict for like maybe $1 to $2 a piece. I have several critters that would love to have live crab as part of their regular diet... :D ...ie mantis, puffer, trigger, snowflake moray!!!!

Go to Port Aransus (sp?) get a bunch of the floating macroalgae and in it will be hundreds of baby crabs. Stick them in your fuge and drop in some shrimp every now and then and you will soon be up to your eyeballs in crabs.

yeah...I have done that, its just that fin-addict is closer than Port A...also it just seems like a waste for people to flush the unwanted crabs down the toilet when they can be food...just like in nature... ;)

That lookas the crab that Carlnsa and I fed to his angler fish about 4 months ago. It did not last long. The fish were singing "we are having crab for dinner" :innocent

"Probably" o.k. Look at the end of the claws...just like an Emerald Crab.
Generally the "bad sps" crabs have very hairy legs and BLUE EYES. Can't see it's eyes in the photo.
If the eyes are blue you can't get that little B out of there fast enough.
I think I have the same crab in my system.......if the claws do indeed look like an Emerald and no blue eyes. Hasn't caused any problems that I could see. He's grown quite a bit though.
If you have any doubts.....give it to Donny.

I did end up putting him in the fuge. But he is not an acro-crab. He is the size of a small Emerald. And my concern is not that he attacks the acros, but tries to take out fish, Emeralds, or snails.
