Not sure about the ASM G3, but most just connect into the airline connection to the venturi or beckett.

UV's need a great deal of maintenance to remove the calcium deposits from the innner glass tube that protects the UV bulb. The bulb heats up the tube and causes calcium to deposit on the glass tube. This can also cause a great deal of heat gain esp. in a small tank. Also, the UV bulbs need to be replaced about once/year. here is no danger of Ozone in the air or water from a UV.

Ozone generators basically run at very little cost to operate, and maintenance is limited to cleaning the probe with vinegar every week or two. Ozone is a very stong oxidizer and can be harmful if being released into the air, or into your tank. These can both be solved by running the OZ at a lower rate, and using carbon to filter air escaping from the skimmer and/or water returning to the sump.

Hope that helps!

BTW - using all caps makes it sound like you are screaming - find the caps lock key ;)
