A friend gave me a powder blue last night and so far I still can't get her to eat :( I have tried seaweed, frozen multipack, flake, spirulina, and cyclopeze. I have a purple tang in the tank that will eat just about anything I put in there. It is about 3in and the blue is about 5in

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, on a side note, the new Euroreef is awesome... pulls out lots of nasty skimmate.....

PBT have a tendency to stress when moved. I'd just keep an eye on it. All Tangs stress, but PBT seem to be worse then most. You can try adding some garlic to see if that stimulates its diet.

Is the purple harassing it?

The purple hasn't hardly even noticed it.... It is out and swims back and forth across the front of my tank, it doesn't act like it is stressed... breathing fine, swimming fine, ( just swims to one end, turns around, goes to the other, and repeats) not flying around the tank, just kind of strolling around.

that is an awesome fish! im sure it will come around, just keep offering little bits of food at different times. find out from the previous owner what it liked to eat and when he/she fed it.

nice tank BTW!

Thanks, I will try to post some pics later. I already tried to track down the owner... with no luck..... this fish was in a 15 gal tank before I got him... poor guy... but now he has a 110 gallon reef to play in. the date on the camera should have read 1/6/06. :roll that is the left side of my tank. I hope this guy makes it. :unsure

something tells me he may be in awe of his knew environment - maybe he is too busy giving thanks to eat! :D

:o uh, it may take him a little while to acclimate :o

Reducing your photoperiod for a few days might help him a little?

15g, unbelievable!!! Good luck!

PBT's normally don't eat for a couple of days when we get them in. I have yet to have one that didn't start eating though. Maybe keep some seaweed selects rubberbanded on a rock for him to nibble on when your not around.

The Seaweed selects don't last long with my purple, she loves that stuff....
