Has anyone ever dealt with this store?

I am trying to buy an All-Glass 92 corner stand which isn`t in stock here in S.A.
All-Glasss listed this LFS as a dealer. I called and was told they had one in stock but was then promply cut-off with "I call you back".
Hang-up #1.

I called back after waiting 30 minutes which I feel was a fair time to wait for a call back. After trying to decipher a mixture of Viet/English, I tried to explained I was in San Antonio and wanted to drive over to get the stand but I needed to know price and location, etc. and that I need to leave now to get the stand as Houston is 200 miles away.
Hang-up # 2.

Called on a different phone and was told "you figure out want you want, call me back".
Hang-up # 3

Called back and said I know what I want, reply was" I busy". Guess he wasn`t listening to the first three calls.
Hang-up #4

Waited 30 minutes and called back. First words out of my mouth were "Please don`t hang up on me this time". CLICK.
Hang-up # 5

Screw him.
I was willing to drive over to get the stand but guess business is so good he doesn`t care.
Just wondering if anyone has ever dealth with this place?
I wont again. I was very polite but have never been treated so rudely by a retailer.
If business is so good you don`t have time to spend 2 minutes with me, hire some help.
Staffing is not my problem.

No, I not too mad about being treated this way.

There are several LFS in SA that can order a tank from All-Glass for you. They may not have it in stock, but their wholesaler may have it and you can get it in a day or two.

I know I have seen All Glass in several stores in SA, including some of our sponsors. They may not order directly from All Glass like the shop in Houston does and therefore may not be listed as a distributor.

or you could just get someone to build you one locally and save the gas!

Well its done now.
I ordered the stand thru Forever Pets on Basse Rd. Will be here Friday. I wanted the stand TODAY!!!!
Just like a woman, when I get an idea about something I want, I get it that day. Patience was never a virtue with me especially since I bought this tank a month ago and the stand was cracked.
I wanted to drive over to Houston but this ******* treated this way. I`m sure he has a side of the story but if you are a businessman, you don`t do what he did. :angry

Joshua, guess I have gotten over it now. Besides, ever tried to call All-Glass? They are in Wisconsin and its hard to get any info out of them. They want you to call LFS. So the heck with it now. Its over.

Just might drop in on Discount Tropical Fish #2 next time I am in Houston. :shades

There are All-Glass dealers in S.A.
Polly`s Pets and Forever just to name a few. They dont carry much All-Glass. I prefer All-Glass over Oceanic especially in my 180 AG tank. No glass center brace and after the cracked 92 corner stand fiasco. Running since 1998 with no leaks or problems

BTW I went into Polly`s Pet a few days ago and they have an Oceanic Bowfront with a cherrywood stand thats cracked/split wood on the inside worse than the one I bought and posted about in the General Forum.
This stand even has a "proudly made by"so and so" card on the stand. Guess he needs to look closer. :P

There was a rather long post on another board recently where they really bashed a LFS in Houston where the employees spoke viet or suddenly couldn't speak english when there was a problem. I can't find the post now, but from what you've descibed it sounds like the same people. I remember the complaints were about not recieving orders, getting broken stuff with no responses back or refunds, etc... there was a number of people who had done business with them and were burned.

They seemed quite nice 2 me while I was there that may have somtething to do with me speaking the same language as they do. For some reason a lot of the vietnamese ive met out here seem to be quite racist.

Viet-Tin, I don`t tolerate racism well and try to raise my children to be tolerant of people who are different.
I am Cajun-American have a little bit of everything thing in the wood pile.

Don`t take this as a racist remark as it is NOT meant to be, but would this guy rather be back in a rice paddie in `Nam?
He should be grateful he or his ancestors got the hell of of there. Bet he would own a fish store back in Ho Chi Minh City.

I try not to judge other people because I don`t know why he is this way, or his life experiences, but if its because he doesn`t like Americans/Whitie/Non-Asian, then he should get the hell out of here.

I feel the same way. Fortunatley I was raised to love all and not just my own kind. I just dont understand why people have to be that way.
