I have some mushrooms and zoos on big rocks that are on the bottom of the structure so I will not be able to pull the rock out. I am wondering what the best way to get rid of these "pest" I have tried Joe's Juice on the zoos and nothing. Please help

I am currently working on the same thing. Initially I just pulled them (zoos) off the rocks while in the tank. My montis didn't like that at all. Since I can't remove the rocks I had to come up with something different. So I got some 1/2 tubing and a stuck a 2 ft length of rigid tubing on the end. Now when I do a water change I just turn the pumps off and then suck them off the rocks. You can scrape them up with the rigid tubing. Plus with the pumps off you siphon off the toxins they spit out while you are removing them. Seems to work ok.

It doesn't work well on the shrooms though. They seem to be attached to well and are too squishy to be siphoned off the rock easily. I think I might try zapping one every now and then with kalk paste until they are gone.

Tagging along to see if anyone has a better method of removing them in the tank.

Thanks Richard. Sounds like I have my work cut out for me.

You can try covering them up with another rock. Cut off from light and unable to squeeze past the rock, they will wither and die.

I blocked the light to some nasty palys I used to have with no negative effects to the tank.

The problem is Emilo they are on rocks near the base of the structure. If I remove the rocks the structure falls.

I have the exact same problem with some big red palys. I don't know what to do either.

Take them to an LFS and trade them for LR to replace them, plus a store credit for the difference in value.

Sure you can, you just don't want to.

Have you tried pulling them off with a pair of forceps or small hemostats?
