I went and talked to sarah last night at finaddict it is my favorite fish store then texas tropical just because of the people.....

but she told me how she was closed over the christmas holiday and the store temp raised and killed tons and I mean tons of SPS....

It looked like a coral battle ground....

I just wish there was something we could do to help?

maybe give frags back to help get thier stock back up?

I just started my 125 gal so I don't have any but if anyone has any ideas or if they would even accept anything?

lets discuss :)

That's horrible news, S&F are big into propagation which is more of what this hobby needs locally. Really sorry to hear that :(

I know Felipe has been talking about making some changes to his systems, maybe this is a good "opportunity". Once their systems are back on-line, I am sure they can count on MAAST members to help restock their propagation tanks.

Hang in there!

I don't have many Zoo's left (Imperator keeps eating them) but I will be more then happy to give them some frags of the one's I have left. Felipe and Sarah have been nothing but great to me.

Throughout the year our business has suffered many blows. Through them all, we've handled them, with the support of a couple of friends. We have overcome our problems and I have to admit this time its been weighing on me heavy. Now more than ever I have felt alone, until today. I guess I never realized how tight my community of friends has become and how large it has grown! Thank you everyone for your support! If you are willing to donate, we will be ready for frags the week after next. Thanks again.

Sarah and Felipe,

I have not been to the shop lately cause of my work situation.
I will stop by tommorrow and see what I can do to help.
I may be shutting down my whole system, and I will most definately help you two out.

You two have been great to me and I consider you dear friends.
You two have helped me so much over the last year, I cannot count the ways I owe you.
What I have you have.........lets get er fragged!!!!!

S&F, I'll bring some good stuff.

I'll also bring some cash that I owe you but you wanted frags "at the right time" instead. My guess is cash is now BETTER! ;)

i have an idea, Sarah, Felipe, or both need to do a tank tour and see what people have that they could use. I dont have a lot of sps right now but I do have lots of softies so if they stop by and see something that they want and it can be fragged then they could have it. I have a 100g soft tank and a 135g mixed reef that they could raid. I believe in quality over quanitity so they could decide what they want.

I'm so sorry this happened. I'm sure I can also come up with some soft corals to donate if needed. Vacations are always hard; I spent the day before going on my current vacation hooking up an auto-topoff. According to the tanksitter though everything still looks good.

I do have some sps (scroll, green w/purple tip acro, purple bonsai, a couple of mili's) that we could frag out i just dont know what you want or when which is why I think it would be better for S and F to stop by peoples houses. besides I dont know the names of half the corals that I have been given or bought.

sarah and felipe, i have only been to fin addict once. that one time i was treated with friendly attention and respect. really enjoyed the store and speaking at length with felipe about propogation. i do not have much sps, but i am fragging a lot of soft and some monti. which i will be pleased to add to the cause. perhaps some of you that are well connected in san antonio can organize a fundraiser? a raffle? a frag meet?

S&F,

I'll bet Mike Paletta would be so pleaed to know that you may be able to re-acquire some of your corals from other tanks...he talked about that at the meeting.

I have such little bits, but I know that some of my zoos came originally from your tanks...if you are interested in a couple of polyps here and there to get your acquaculture tank restocked, let me know. Maybe you could post a wish list on this thread or something.

Sincerely,

Sherri

Sarah & Felipe...I'm so sorry this happened. It's nice seeing so much support....like others have said...it's been the way you've conducted your business...it will fall back into your lap because of it. We all will help.
