i wonder how hard it would be to convert to a euro brace?

if you can get some clamps on the tank to support it, you could drain about 5" of the water out, take off the top plastic molding and silicone in the glass to "euro brace" it. i would take some water out to make sure it didn't come in contact w/the silicone while it is curing - for a couple of days.

I wonder if the fact the bottom was still plastic and the top was eurobraced would create and calculable stress or tortion on the glass?
