Wow!! I am so excited :-) I was snooping around in the macroalgae from the refugium, and I found a baby brittle starfish about the size of a quarter, its center maybe 3/16 " diameter...I did not know brittle stars could reproduce in the aquarium...I don't think it came in any live rock unless it was a long time ago and made it down from the main tank, which I suppose it could easily via the overflow box....hmmm.

A star is born...LOL :wub

I have seen babies in my tank on two occasions, and I don't even have brittle stars in my tank. Both were when I was redoing the rock work and taking rocks out of the tank. I wonder though if they are just a mini stars and don't get very big. It has been several months since I have seen them and I never spoted them again in the tank.
